Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: FAQ

How long will it take for my jerky to arrive?

Orders placed by 4 p.m. Pacific on Wednesday will ship the following Monday via USPS Priority Mail (usually two or three days).

What's the best way to store my jerky?

Sealed, NYD jerky should last one to two months in the pantry. Once you open your pack, keep it in an air-tight bag or container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

How much jerky should I expect in each pack?

Each pack of NYD jerky contains approximately 4 oz. of jerky.

Dad's Original is made in 5-pound batches, each yielding approximately eight packs. First Born is made in 2- to 3-pound batches, each yielding approximately four packs.

How is Not Your Dad's jerky made?

Each batch of NYD jerky is handmade in Sarah's kitchen, using lean or extra lean ground beef, Dad's seasoning blends, a Sigval jerky gun, and a Nesco dehydrator.

What if I am not satisfied with Not Your Dad's jerky?

Please let us know. If your jerky arrives and the vacuum seal is broken or there is something wrong with the jerky itself, we will happily replace your order. Send a photo of the damage to NYDjerky@gmail.com, and we will be in touch to rectify the situation.
